Review: Incredible Vegan Truffles
Hello :)
It's been a while, but I'm back from my crazy insane exam period and will continue with the blog posts as frequently as possible, so in today's post I wanted to talk about an amazing brand of vegan chocolate truffles.
I think the treats would be a great gift for any occasion, Valentine's Day is not too far away, for example, but I think that even if you don't have anyone to give them to, then you can also just enjoy them all by yourself, they're tasty.
We found them a little while ago from a big vegan food festival and since they seemed too good to be true, we had to give them a try. The ones we bought were the hazelnut truffles. They're made by a French company called Mathez, you can look around their website if you click HERE.
But let's get into the truffles themselves, they were very smooth and melted incredibly fast, the recommended temperature to store them was around 18 degrees and since we couldn't provide that anywhere in our dorm, then we kept them at a slightly higher temperature and they definitely melted, but luckily not too much, they still kept their shape, they just were very soft. Later we put them in the fridge instead. That's what I'd recommend, if you wish them to be slightly softer then take them out to soften before serving them or just eating them all by yourself in secret.
Anyway, once you bite into the truffle it melts in your mouth very fast, it has a creamy almost buttery consistency and feels silky smooth, there's no way you could understand that they didn't have any dairy in them at all. I think they'd be a good gift for anyone, not just vegans.
We recommend them and would love to try some other flavours as well, these ones tasted very chocolatey just like the regular truffle does, they were nice and incredibly tasty, we had a difficult time not eating them all at once.
So all in all, another great vegan chocolate treat alternative to those who choose to or have to cut out animal products from their diet.
That's all for today,
Kaiela :)
Any idea where I could get these in Tallinn?
VastaKustutaI'm afraid I haven't seen them anywhere but the festival we bought them from.
