Eesti Laul 2016 final: winner and our afterthoughts

The final for the Estonian preseletion for Eurovision has ended and the winner has been chosen. Jüri Pootsmann will represent us in Eurovision.

The three songs that got to the second round were: Laura, Jüri Pootsmann, Cartoon feat. Kristel Aaslaid

And the other songs according to the finishing position were:

10. Kati Laev ja Noorkuu

9. Kea

8. Go Away Bird

7. Grete Paia

6. I Wear* Experiment

5. Meisterjaan

4. Mick Pedaja

The end the top three was:

3. Cartoon & Kristel Aaslaid

2. Laura

 With the winner being Jüri Pootsmann by 44%

Our favourites remained roughly the same, we thought Laura, Cartoon and Kristel Aaslaid, Grete Paia and Jüri Pootsmann were the best.

Compared to the semi-finals, we thought that Cartoon's and Jüri's performances improved the rest were about the same.

All together we enjoyed the show very much, I think the songs that got to the final deserved to be there, although, some songs weren't our favourites. I also quite liked the clips they used inbetween songs and the entire thing was well produced.

Vocally Laura and Jüri were the best, Kristel was better than the previous time, but some parts could still be improved.

Kai will also be reviewing all outfits chosen for the final in another post, because she's an expert in that area.
