Review: Refresh Me Drinks

Hello :)

Today we're here with another review, since we've tried so many new products, but simply haven't had the time to write about all of them yet. Today's topic is Refresh Me Drinks, which are a new type of heathier beverages that we just recently stumbled upon.

The two flavours that we tried were Recharge Me (Basil Seeds & Aloe Vera Juice and Pieces) and Refresh Me (Drink with whole cells of Orange). Both of them had Vitamin C and Calcium added to them and they also had fiber in them, which usually juices are lacking of. There's actually a third type of drink as well, that they offer, which is Refill Me, that's simply a drink with whole pieces of aloe vera, but we haven't tried it yet.

We quite liked the ones that we tried. The first one was Refresh Me, which was a slightly sweeter and milder version of orange juice, essentially, so for all those, who usually find orange juice too bitter, that would be the perfect alternative, instead of having juice drinks that have a lot of sugar added to them. Kai definitely loved it, for me, a true traditional orange juice lover, the taste wasn't what I was used to, but it was still very good and I would drink it again.

The second one, Recharge Me, was a completly new flavour to me, it was nothing we had tried before, the texture seemed a little scary at first, but it was actually very pleasant to drink and the seeds didn't bother me at all, it looked very good and unique and tasted even better, I would and will most definitely drink it again.

What I also loved about these drinks was the fact that they had actually a good amount of Calcium and Vitamin C added to them, Refresh me: per 100 g 249mg of calcium and 10mg of Vitamin C, per 100 ml, I don't know why they've given the amount in defferent units, but from these amounts it's easy to tell that you will get your daily minimal amount of calcium from there and half of the recommended minimal amount of Vitamin C, which is very very good. Recharge me had accordingly: 163 mg of Calcium and 115 mg of Vitamin C in 100 ml, which is already the daily minimal amount, from one bottle a person would get about the optimal amount of Vitamin C for the day, which I think is amazing.

Anyway, all in all we loved these drinks and would recommend them, since they are a good alternative to Calcium for those, who are lactose intolerant or for other reasons are not getting enough Calcium in their diet. They also obviously tasted very good.

That's all for today,
Kaiela :)
