Eesti Laul 2016 first semi-final: afterthoughts

So the first semi-final for Eesti Laul is over now and we have gathered some thoughts on the show and it's outcome.

Fisrtly the songs that qualified to the final were: Laura - Supersonic, Cartoon & Kristel Aaslaid - Immortality, Mick Pedaja - Seis, Kea - Lonely Boy and Kati Laev - Kaugel sinust.

In general 4 out of the 5 songs that we were hoping to qualify, did qualify, the only song that didn't get to the final out of our top five was Würffel - I'm facing north.

We personally didn't like the song "Kaugle sinust" very much and definitely would'ev prefered quite a few songs over that, but I guess the song has it's audience.

Out of the performances of the night, most interesting were definitely Cartoon & Kristel Aaslaid - Immortality, Mick Pedaja - Seis, Laura - Supersonic. They were more interesting to watch and also new ways of making the song and the performance blend in together better.

The best vocals were by far Kea - Lonely Boy, Laura - Supersonic, the others didn't really stand out a lot vocally for us, but bare in mind, that we're no music experts either, just our opinion and first impressions right after the show.
