Eesti Laul 2016 second semi-final afterthoughts

The second semi-final of Eesti Laul 2016 is now oficially over and here are all thoughts we had regarding the show.

Firstly, we had 4 favourite performances, which we were hoping would qualify. They were Grete Paia, Jüri Pootsmann, I Wear* Experiment and Go Away Bird, they all qualified, which we were super excited about.

Now the fifth qualifier was Meister Jaan, who we really weren't expecting to qualify, the song wasn't quite our cup of tea, but I guess it has an audience. It's one of a kind for sure.

This semi didn't have quite as many interesting solutions, when it came to the show part, but there were many good songs, which stood out even without any big show behind it. We actually liked most of the songs.

The live performances were all rather good as well, it's difficult to say if some artists were better than others vocally.

All in all the only big surprise for us was that Meister Jaan qualified, but other than that all went as we expected and best of luck from us to all of the qualifiers.
